Share Our Strength's Bake Sale for No Kid Hungry -- How can you help end childhood hunger? Host a bake sale to support Share Our Strength

Welcome to the team page for the 2012 Atlanta Food Blogger Bake Sale. Last year, our city stood strong against hunger and had THE most successful Bake Sale in the nation. Through the hard work of our bakers & volunteers...and the generosity of folks in our state...we raised over FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS for Share Our Strength. 

This year, we're heading to Midtown ATL with tables of treats for sale. We'll be outside in front of The Cook's Warehouse at Ansley Mall. The official street address is 1544 Piedmont Avenue - it's in the mall area behind the Publix. We'll have signs out to guide you to us. The Bake Sale will take place from 9 am to 1 pm. Cook's Warehouse is also giving us some coupons for 10% off a regularly priced item to give to those folks who buy goodies at the Bake Sale - these are while supplies last so get there early to get something in return for giving to Share Our Strength!

Every cookie sold and every dollar donated can make a huge impact.  Here are some examples:*

$1 can help provide a hungry child with 10 healthy meals.
$4 can help provide a child facing hunger with a backpack full of healthy food over a weekend when school meals are not available.
$9 can help connect a child with healthy lunches during summer when school is out.
$35 can help a child care center provide free afterschool snacks and suppers to at-risk children all year long.
$65 can provide a grab-n-go breakfast cart to an elementary school so that every student starts every school day with a healthy meal.
