SEATTLE’S PREMIER CHEFS COOK TO END CHILDHOOD HUNGER IN THEIR COMMUNITY AND ACROSS AMERICA
Share Our Strength®’s 21 Annual Taste of the Nation® Seattle, Presented by American Express®, will take place on Thursday, July 31st 2008 at South Lake Union Park, the Naval Reserve Building.
What:
Seattle’s top chefs and restaurants gather for Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation, presented by American Express, to help raise funds for Share Our Strength’s fight to end childhood hunger in Seattle and across America. Seattle’s event is part of an annual effort by thousands of the best chefs and restaurants across the country who donate their time, talent and cuisine to create more than 60 events throughout the United States and Canada. Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation raises millions of dollars to help the more than 12 million children who face hunger in their communities and around the country.
When:
Thursday, July 31, 2008; 6-9 pm. VIP Reception 5-6 pm (only 100 tickets available).

The Naval Reserve Building, Lake Union Park - South Lake Union

100 percent of the ticket sales go directly to the fight against hunger.
VIP Level Admission:
$125 per person (limited tickets available) grants early admission, 5pm to the event and access to a special reception aboard the historic Virginia V. VIP ticket holders also receive exclusive first hand look at fabulous live and silent auction items.
General Admission:
$75 per person, includes access to the event from 6pm-9pm, live auction, silent auction and a Raffle.

Who:
More than 50 of Seattle’s finest restaurants, wineries, breweries and coffee roasters, donate their time and specialties to provide delectable bites for event guests while raising monies and awareness to fight hunger.
Why:
Ending childhood hunger in America is within our grasp — and we all have a role to play in reaching that goal. There are more than 12 million children in America who face hunger; in Seattle, the area charities that will benefit from this year’s event are Food Lifeline, Children’s Alliance, FareStart, Solid Ground (formerly the Fremont Public Association), and the Market Foundation. Since 1988, Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation events have raised more than $70 million nationwide, including more than 2.2 million from efforts in Seattle alone.
